It took me a while to get round to reviewing this, so the details may be a bit hazy. I apologise.
I really enjoyed the world in which this book was set. I thought the idea of Dæmons and what they said about the characters was really interesting and unique. It was also interesting watching the characters show things about their characters with there actions. The characters in this were interesting and diverse in their opinions, ways of life’s and what they represent. While I am not sure how accurate the gyptians are compared to real life travelling communities, but it felt real to me as an outsider.
The plot was fascinating as it deals with what makes us who we are as well as how power can corrupt us and divide us even when we are all working towards the same goal. It is also a story that is a great testament to the power of friendship and loyalty.
