Crown Of Midnight Review

I quite enjoyed this book as the twists and turns and allow it to be less predictable than its predecessor, yet it still suffers from second book syndrome. The surprise ending is easy to guess halfway through, but I was still intrigued by the way the characters would react to the revelation.

I loved how we got to see Nehemia develop from someone who helped Celaena through her challenges to a player in this game of court intrigue and mysterious dark forces. It was also interesting watching Chaol interact with people from Celaena’s old life.

I thought that the plot was interesting as we see the old and new Celaena collide and the balance between them.
